ABOUT
HYPNOSIS
Hypnosis works and it may be the answer for you. Many of our everyday issues and problems can be resolved with the aid of hypnosis. Your willingness and motivation will be the key factors in helping you to resolve problems in your everyday life. A positive and realistic goal is also needed for hypnosis to be successful. Hypnosis will be a path between your conscious and subconscious mind to affect positive, permanent desired changes. It must be a self-directed experience. You must be making the change for "your" benefit, not at the suggestions of others. It should be self-directed.
The U.S. Government
has defined hypnosis in two parts:
The first is the bypass of the critical factor,
and the second is the establishment of acceptable selective thinking. There
are many in the field, who feel that all hypnosis is self-hypnosis.
To a degree, this is very true.
Hypnosis has been plagued
by misconceptions for too long. In
most cases the client is fully aware and communication between client
and hypnotist is useful. There is no magic involved.
Hypnotists are not magicians! Magicians amaze people with
illusions that have results which seem impossible to explain.
Illusions are not tools for change. Hypnosis has the tools you
need to affect the positive changes you desire. Hypnosis is a
pleasant state of mind, similar to daydreaming. It's comparable to
what we experience when, mentally, we drift away from normal
everyday tasks while driving, while reading or while watching T.V. or a movie. While in hypnosis you become very receptive to only
proper suggestions. The effects are feelings of calmness,
tranquility and profound relaxation. You won't be asleep or
unconscious. You'll always be aware of your surroundings, but
you'll easily be able to disregard normal distractions. You
are in control and able to
emerge yourself from hypnosis at any time.
Anyone of average
intelligence can easily achieve a state of hypnosis if they are
motivated to do so. If you can focus
your attention and use your imagination, hypnosis will probably occur
immediately. For varying reasons, some people do require some
additional time.
Because hypnosis is a natural state of mind, some people are not sure if they were hypnotized or not.
A person who was expecting to be unconscious, might think he/she was not
hypnotized because he/she was aware of their surroundings.
Hypnosis is a state of heightened awareness and focus –
not a loss of
consciousness!
You will hear every word I say while you are in hypnosis and you’ll
remember your hypnosis session.
Your attitude about reaching your goal is very important.
A good
attitude produces good results.
You must be
motivated and have a positive and realistic goal.
To achieve the maximum benefit from hypnosis, you must be willing to
practice the self-hypnosis i teach you, and /or listen to hypnotic CD's designed to
reinforce positive suggestions.
